The label was founded by Jake Mackie-Duncan in response to the countless stories of artists being screwed over by their labels and having to disband. Bigger Booth Records is a label focused on prioritising the music and the artist above all else. A label that wants to improve the reputation of the Scottish music scene. In terms of genre the label operates mostly in the Alternative and Experimental scenes, and wants to bring light to the enormous wealth of talent hidden in these scenes.
